New Moon Girl Media brings user-generated content to girls ages 8 to 15 through its publications and Internet experiences. All New Moon content is for girls, by girls, and about girls and their interests. Widely recognized as the expert in evoking, inspiring and presenting girls’ voices to each other and to the world, New Moon is loved by girls ages 8-15 and by their parents and other caring adults. New Moon’s business model depends entirely on girls to identify and research issues of importance to them, develop interesting content, and learn how to use their voices in meaningful and constructive ways, as they engage in social dialog. Through our girl editorial and advisory boards New Moon Girl Media brings real-girl experiences to the pages of our award-winning, ad-free publication, New Moon®, The Magazine for Girls and Their Dreams; and to our new, age -appropriate internet communities, LunaVida®, The New Moon Club for Girls and orb28.com. New Moon publications and experiences remain free of advertising and external media influences in order to avoid “perfect girl” stereotyping, and to remain accountable only to girls and their needs. Through our various affiliate relationships, New Moon is a resource on a variety of girls and women’s issues. We also provide many curriculum opportunities and workshops for teachers and others who work with girls. |
