I HAVE NO MORE APOLOGIES TO GIVE

I have no more apologies to give.

I am just different from you. 

I have no more apologies to give.

I have worn myself out. 

I have no more apologies to give

They have gotten me nowhere. 

These apologies are about me

wishing I was perfect

And trying to gain your approval. 

Yes, I do have faults.

I do have limitations.

Limitations that you are unfamiliar with.

Limitations you do not understand.

And maybe they scare you.

So I look strange and odd to you.

I have feared your judgment.

And I have apologized.

Because you were unable to see past my limitations

To the person I really am.

You saw only my faults.

But I am more than what you give me credit for.

I am a beautiful person inside.

And if you can’t see that

My apologies will do no good.

Each time I apologize to you

for me not being what you want me to be,

I give my spirit the message that I am not enough.

So It is important to my spirit

For me to stop apologizing

Because in order for me to feel and be whole

I have to accept all that I am

Without apology.
