Abu
Dhabi to Host Gulf Women Members of Parliament Meeting

The
Federal National Council (FNC), in cooperation with Inter Parliamentary Union
(IPU), is hosting in Abu Dhabi the second regional conference for woman
parliamentarians and decision makers in the GCC-Gulf
Cooperation Council-countries.
The event, to be held on October 30 and 31, is being organised under the
patronage of Shaikha Fatima bint Mubarak, president of the Family Development
Foundation, chairperson of UAE General Women’s Union and chairperson of the
Arab Woman Organisation. Titled “Women making a difference in Parliament”, the
forum will examine the role and contribution of women legislators in
parliaments.
