Launching
a new resource and networking tool on assistance to women victims of trafficking
for sexual exploitation.
The new website –
www.nordicbaltic-asssistwomen
- is an integral part of the Nordic Baltic pilot project that aims to strengthen
cooperation and develop concrete activities to support and assist women victims
of trafficking for sexual exploitation in the region and to strengthen the
gender perspective in polices and actions against trafficking. The
Nordic-Baltic project is co-ordinated by the European Women’s
Lobby, and as part of the pilot project, a regional Nordic
Baltic inter-agency Network has been set up, including public agencies and NGOs
from all Nordic and Baltic countries.
The new web portal will facilitate the sharing of experiences between the partners in the Nordic Baltic region, but also serve as a platform for information and resource sharing with organisations and policy-makers across Europe (and beyond!) that want to improve policies and practices to assist and protect women victims of trafficking for sexual exploitation.
