Description: This paper examines the "family gap" and the difference in labor market outcomes between mothers and women without children. The study discusses the relationships between gender and family gaps in labor force participation rates and median wages across OECD countries. The author argues that social spending on family policy is a drag on growth and creates incentives that depress productivity.
