The Poverty and Economic Policy (PEP) Research Network brings together and provide technical and financial support to developing country researchers working to reduce poverty

The PEP network receives funding from the Australian Aid Agency (AusAID) (http://www.ausaid.gov.au), the Canadian International Development Agency (www.acdi-cida.gc.ca), and the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) (www.idrc.ca).

New Proposals

September 30, 2007: Deadline for submitting applications for the PEP School's 2007/08 training session on the theme of modeling the micro impacts of macroeconomic policies and shocks (offered in French only) CALL FOR PROPOSALS

 

November 30, 2007: Deadline for submitting expressions of interest for PEP-AusAID Policy Impact Evaluation Research Initiative (PIERI) GUIDELINES

 

January 7, 2008: Deadline for submitting proposals (CALL FOR PROPOSALS) for the 2008 competition of:

·       MPIA-PMMA Core Program

·       CBMS Network Research Grants

·       PEP-OPHI Human Development Capabilities Initiative

 

March 30, 2008: Deadline for submitting proposals for PEP-AusAID Policy Impact Evaluation Research Initiative (PIERI)

 

April 15, 2008 : Deadline for submitting final proposals (NOTE: Only for teams who have been contacted and asked to revise and resubmit their initial proposal) for the 2008 competition of:

·       MPIA-PMMA Core Program

·       CBMS Network Research Grants

June 2008: Selection meeting for PEP-AusAID Policy Impact Evaluation Research Initiative (PIERI)

 

December 2008: PEP General Meeting: Selection of proposals to be funded under:

January 15, 2008Deadline for submitting interim research reports (for those who have not yet presented an interim report at a PEP meeting and who would like to participate in a study visit)

 

January 15, 2008Deadline for submitting requests for study visits (see Grants Manual on PEP home page for instructions).

 

May-June, 2008: Study visits. These are usually 3-4 weeks in duration and only for one member of each PEP-financed project with an approved interim report. Researchers are asked to propose the host institution of their choice.

 

August 31, 2008: Deadline for submitting draft final reports for presentation at December 2008 PEP general meetings.

 

December 2008: PEP General Meeting
