Appel de
communications
Ce colloque bilingue vise à susciter
le dialogue entre les chercheures féministes, les spécialistes du développement,
les décisionnaires, les militants, les universitaires et les intervenants de la
société civile, afin de cerner les interrelations et les problématiques des
enjeux controversés liés à la religion, aux femmes et au
développement.
Les réalités de l’interdépendance
dans un monde en pleine transformation démographique ont non seulement engendré
des processus complexes, mais aussi posé des défis sans précédent aux femmes de
tous horizons dans leur existence personnelle, politique, économique et sociale,
défis que la religion, selon toute apparence, suscite, intensifie ou
justifie.
Cet appel de communications
sollicite un large éventail de points de vue, dans une perspective critique
féministe, concernant notamment :

invitées à faire parvenir un résumé d’au plus 200 mots d’ici le
10 septembre 2007 à

for Papers
The intention of this bilingual
conference is to initiate dialogue among and between feminist scholars,
development practitioners, policy-makers, civil society members, activists and
academics, to address the interconnections and complexities concerning contested
issues of religion, women and development.
The realities of
interdependence and interconnectedness in the
changing demographic landscape of the world, have not only created complex
processes, but have also
confronted women in all societies with unprecedented challenges regarding their
personal, political, economic and social existence, ostensibly grounded in,
stimulated by, and/or justified by religion. Using a feminist critical
perspective, this call for submission solicits articles from a diverse range of
perspectives regarding:
Abstracts of up to 200 words are
solicited from interested participants by September 10, 2007 and sent to Helene
Boudreault, hboudre@uottawa.ca.
Abstracts longer than 200 words, or arriving after September 10, 2007, will not
be considered.
Simultaneous translation will be
available at the conference
