Geometric Afghan

Geometric
Afghan gender art piece is in the style called geometric planialism; inspired by
stained glass windows, mosaics, and graffiti. I saw a photo in a National
Geographic of a woman in a burkha and recreated it in a style that represented
the west. It was a merge of two worlds where each was distinct and yet
strikingly separate.

Initiative
The pull of art
is like the pull of peace ... universal. That's why Peace X Peace is launching a
new initiative, Peace Art. Please email your submissions, along with your
picture and brief bio, to Mariam
Lodin at mariam@peacexpeace.org.
Each month, Peace
X Peace will feature an artist's work at Act
Now! , with a link to the entire month's submissions.
Submissions must be in keeping with Peace X Peace's Circle Principles.
Each submission will include a picture and short bio sketch of the artist, as
well as any links to where the art is available. All media are welcome ... your
Peace Art may include the visual, audio, and performance arts.
