the winning entry in the Winter 2008 issue of
JMEWS.
JMEWS is the official journal of the Association for Middle East
Women's
Studies, an affiliate of the Middle East Studies Association. The
journal
is published three times a year by Indiana University Press. Its
editorial
office is housed in the UCLA Center for the Study of
Women.
Located at the cutting edge of new scholarship, JMEWS publishes
research
informed by transnational feminist studies, cultural and modern
historical
studies, new forms of ethnography, and the emergent intersections
of
science and philosophy. The journal encourages research using
innovative
theoretical, epistemological, and methodological
approaches.
