The Purpose of this Research Network is to
establish Gender Responsive Budgeting (GRB) as a field of research in the Nordic
and Baltic countries, and preferably as part of Economics. This will be done by
promoting the exchange of experience among researchers within economics as well
as other disciplines, such as sociology and women's and gender
studies.
Gender Responsive Budgeting (GRB) examines issues of gender equality. In general it investigates how various fiscal measures affect women and men separately. The network will concentrate specifically on the economic autonomy of women, and on the income distribution between women and men.
