You may have seen in the paper today this degrading advertising campaign from Dolce and Gabbana. The image can likely be found on their website and no doubt will be hitting their shops soon.

 

This type of advertising is completely unacceptable. With violence against women being one of the major crimes of humanity, the fashion industry should not be trying to make the issue ‘ sexy’ or ‘cool’.

 

The fashion business does enough already to impact young women's low self-esteem and false expectations of what they should look like.
