   تحية طيبة وبعد ،، 

  يشير تقرير التنمية البشرية العربي لعام 2005 إلي  أن للنساء العربيات إسهامات وطنية عالية فى ميادين الآداب والعلوم والسياسة وأن أكثرهن مازلن يكافحن للتمتع بمعاملة منصفة ويتمتعن بأقل نصيب من المشاركة السياسية.       ولذلك فالحاجة ملحة لإزالة بذور التمييز ضد المرأة من التقاليد العربية والدعوة إلى الاجتهاد والتفسير المستنير فى مختلف  القضايا  للتغلب على العراقيل الثقافية  وكذلك المناداة بفرض الإجراءات الكفيلة لحماية الحقوق المدنية والشخصية لجميع النساء  فى البلاد العربية.     ومن هذا المنطلق وحرصا من المركز المصري لحقوق المرأة علي متابعة أوضاع النساء علي المستوي المحلي والعربي.     يعقد المركز ندوة موسعة حول :    " أوضاع المرأة العربية في تقرير التنمية البشرية العربية "     كمحاولة من المركز للوقوف علي الإبعاد الاجتماعية والاقتصادية والثقافية وكذلك الأوضاع السياسية للمرأة العربية وذلك من خلال مناقشة عدد من المحاور أهمها :      *  تطورات التنمية الإنسانية فى الوطن العربي منذ تقرير عام 2004.     * نحو نهوض المرأة . مفاهيم وقضايا إشكالية.     *  السياق المجتمعي لحال المرأة.     * رؤية إستراتيجية حول  نهوض المرأة   .  

  وذلك يوم الأربعاء الموافق 24 يناير 2007 من الساعة العاشرة   .  بفندق سوفيتل المعادي

ECWR Seminar on The Status of Arab Women as Reported by the Arab Human Development Report

The Arab Human Development Report for 2005 found that Arab women's contributions and position in the fields of the arts, sciences and politics still suffer from discrimination and the lowest rate of political participation. It is therefore urgent that we remove the sources of discrimination against women in our traditions and call for enlightened judgments and interpretations on various issues to help overcome cultural barriers implement measures to ensure the protection of civil and human rights for all women in the Arab countries.

To these ends, the Egyptian Center for Women's Rights monitors the status of women at the local and regional levels. and will hold a seminar on Wednesday, January 24, 2007 entitled: "The Status of Arab Women As Reported By the Arab Human Development Report."

The seminar will focus on an analysis of the social, economic, political and cultural status of Arab women, by discussing:

• Human development in the Arab world since the 2004 report
• Towards the advancement of women: concepts and challenges
• Social context of women's status
• A strategic vision for the advancement of women
