Women and HIV/AIDS: Breaking the Silence
|
The worldwide HIV/AIDS pandemic has an increasingly female face. For example, young women in Sub-Saharan Africa, the region most affected by HIV/AIDS, are three times more likely to be living with HIV than young men.. You can hear women’s voices and stories as they deal with HIV/AIDS as survivors, caregivers, healthcare workers, activists and policymakers on a special public radio program on women and AIDS.. The hour-long show explores the many ways in which HIV/AIDS impacts
women globally, and is co-produced by the Women’s Edge Coalition, in
partnership with the Communications
