Nominations for the Women's Rights Prize are invited annually, to recognize significant contributions in protecting and furthering the rights of women and girls as well as in fostering public awareness that a just world requires fairness for all. Self-nominations are not acceptable. In the event the nominee makes the short list, three letters of support from individuals will be required. Nominations for the Women's Rights Prize 2007 open April 2, 2006 and will close on December 31, 2006. A panel of international experts in the field review the nominations and select the recipient each year. Nominations may be submitted by individuals, organizations and institutions that are active in or have an appreciation for contemporary events in the field of Women's Rights. Self nominations are not accepted. In the event the nominee makes the short list, three letters of support from individuals outside the nominee's own institution or organization will be required.
