From 9 to 11 October 2006, the
Third Committee of the General Assembly will consider agenda item 61 -
Advancement of Women.
Under this agenda item, the
Committee will discuss the following issues:
(a) Advancement of
Women
1. Elimination of all forms of
discrimination against women
2. In-depth study on all forms of
violence against women
3. Status of women in the United Nations
system
