Many adolescents in India suffer from poor reproductive health and limited
access to appropriate health services. New findings from a 10-year research
program by ICRW and several India-based partners suggest that one of the best —
and fastest — ways to improve adolescents' health is to involve parents, in-laws
and the communities where they live.
The results of the project, funded
by the Rockefeller Foundation, were disseminated at a Sept. 29 meeting with
government officials, NGOs, partner organizations and the media.
