The Millennium Campaign has partnered with Religions for Peace-- the world’s largest international coalition of religious communities—to develop this 33-page multi-religious resource that introduces the MDGs and the key role of faith communities in advocacy and action to advance development. The toolkit presents religious principles and warrants related to the MDGs from a variety of faith traditions. It provides concrete steps for action to engage all members of religious communities, including advocating with and monitoring governments, linking to other civil society actors and campaigns, and making use of the media. Also included are replicable "handouts" for educational outreach in religious and inter-religious settings.

The toolkit is currently available in PDF format in English and French versions adapted to the African context. Also an Arabic version is available and a Spanish version will be available in September 2006.

Religions for Peace is also making available an in-depth training guide for trainers and communities who would like to use the toolkit in workshops and training-of-trainer events.
