Welcome to the Human Rights Impact Assessment Resource Centre
The Human Rights Impact Resource Centre (HRIRC) is an online database which brings together a wide range of information and documentation on the subject Human Rights Impact Assessment (HRIA). Measuring human rights has become an issue of growing interest to policy makers, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and academics. There is a growing amount of information and documentation available on the subject, which is often dispersed and difficult to find. The HRIRC aims to fill this gap by providing a platform to bring together, share and disseminate all sorts of information on HRIA.

Who is the site meant to help?
The simple answer is: anyone who
needs to know anything about HRIA. HRIA is not solely the domain of a few
experts anymore. In developing this site all actors were consulted and gave
their view on the usefulness of a resource centre on HRIA, the content, and
how it should be presented. By providing a wide range of information
on HRIA, placing it under the umbrella of HRIA and organising it within a
general approach, this site caters for the needs of all actors - from
experts to people new to the area or with only a casual interest in HRIA.
