NOTE: This study aims to discover whether improvvement in women's intra-household status relative to men, raises children's food security in Pakistan. The Conclusion of the research paper states: "It is found that the more educated a child's mother relative to her father, the better her long-term nutritional status as measured by the height-for-age standard. Further, the earning of cash income by mothers, improves children's shorter-term nutritional status as measured by the weight-for-height standard....................................The paper's findings of a positive relation between measures of women's intra-household status and children's food security may be taken to imply that households are not monolithic units but that bargaining is the mechanism of intra-household allocation."

Women's Status and Children's Food Security in Pakistan
2006 - This article examines the role of women's intra-household status relative to men in children's food security in Pakistan.
