The Women Radio Network is an initiative which arose from
women who participated in the training courses promoted by CEMINA as
a way to strengthen their work and allow for the exchange of
experiences in the radio waves. There are 400 radio communicators
from different regions of the country – a number that is increasing
daily – and it includes the presenters, the producers, the trainers
and the local leaders. The communicators who participate in this
Network come not only from different regions, but also from
different social backgrounds, religious beliefs and fields of
action. Their programs are broadcast in community radios, in
educational and commercial stations.
CEMINA works as the executive secretariat of the Women Radio
Network promoting annual meetings, capacity building courses,
distribution of radio materials and the promotion of specific
projects such as the one which links Radio and ICTs, which led to
the Cyberela Network. |
