One significant conclusion was that, after Iraq and Afghanistan particularly, far from being a ‘bolt-on’ extra, a high degree of Gender/Cimic understanding, especially at staff officer level, plus an awareness of United Nations (1325) and the European Parliament resolutions are not peripheral but central to post-conflict Mission success

The Seminar took place at “Landgoed Huize Bergen” in the Netherlands.  Language: English.  Workshops and seminars included:

·        Disarmament, Demobilisation and Rehabilitation (DDR)

·        Quick Impact Projects

·        Support for displaced persons and refugee returnees

·        Stabilisation and public security

·        Support for development of democratisation and Rule of Law      processes

The The seminar was organised and hosted by The Civil-Mil  Military Co-operation Centre of Excellence (CCOE)
