One significant conclusion was
that, after Iraq and Afghanistan particularly, far from being a
‘bolt-on’ extra, a high degree of Gender/Cimic understanding, especially at
staff officer level, plus an awareness of United Nations (1325) and the European
Parliament resolutions are not peripheral but central to post-conflict
