Hope for the Child Brides is a St. George, Utah based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to assisting survivors of abuse within polygamous relationships on their courageous journey to personal freedom.
HOPE's purpose is to offer support, protection, assistance, refuge and hope for the women and young adults (both boys and girls) who have been forced out or have chosen to leave the polygamous lifestyle.   Sadly, many women and children live under immense control and oppression and are caught in the cycle of abuse without a choice or a voice . . . We want to empower them!
  • We are just ordinary citizens who share a concern for the welfare and safety of the women and children living in polygamy.
  • We are advocates working to make a difference in the lives of the women and children who are often oppressed and living in intellectual and physical isolation.
  • We are informing the general public about the allegations of physical, psychological, sexual, and financial abuses occurring within the polygamous communities.  These abuses MUST stop; "Religion" is no excuse for committing child abuse!

between 19 and 60 wives.

We are against domestic violence and child abuse, especially underage marriage; we are not activists against polygamy.   Although polygamy is illegal, our purpose is not to eliminate it, but to help its victims.

We will help anyone who desires to leave the environment of polygamy including underage brides, women wanting to leave, and the "lost boys" - young men who are cast away like unwanted pets.

Please read some of the true stories of the brave men, women and children who have escaped the abusive conditions prevalent in the polygamous communities of Hildale, Utah and Colorado City, Arizona.   Some have been forced out, some have been evicted out and some have found the courage to run away.

Read the "Current Events" and "Media Archives" news articles and the "Historical Background" section for in depth details on the atrocities being committed under the guise of religion in these polygamous communities.

Then visit our "Speak Out" section for links to the Government Officials of Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Idaho, Nevada (yes they're moving there, too) and British Columbia, Canada. There, you can contact them requesting that they help enforce the laws that are being broken "In the Name of God".

The HOPE office is staffed by non-salaried, dedicated volunteers, whose goal is to help prevent domestic violence and child abuse in polygamous communities.

Presentations, videos and speakers are available upon request for local groups, so the public can become more informed about the occurring abuses and other serious issues.

All contributions received are applied 100% to this non-profit organization.

Your donations would be greatly appreciated; your generosity will help change people's lives!
