Our Herstory
Women's Peacepower Foundation,
Inc. was founded in 1998 as a vehicle to help in the
tireless effort to bring peace to our homes, our schools, our
streets and to our world.
Peacepower makes awards to
grassroots projects that are working to impact issues of violence
against women and their children.
WHERE THERE IS PEACE, THERE IS
TREMENDOUS POWER!
Our Mission
The Women's Peacepower Foundation, Inc. gives Women of Peace Awards to women and girls involved in grassroots projects who are working to bring peace to the everyday lives of women and their families. The Women of Peace Awards have
been given to scores of ordinary/extraordinary women around the world
who work without funding or recognition for the universal goal of peace,
fairness and true justice within the lives of women and their families.

Peacepower funds projects that seek to reverse the forces that entrap women and their families into the spiral of pain and fear. We support programs that provide opportunities to speak out against the violence or create new solutions in helping those struggling with this shameful reality.
Teaching Peace

Peacepower awards activists in the US and other countries that:
