NIGERIA +
INRI Widows Foundation - Over 250,000 Widows

INRI WIDOWS FOUNDATION inriwidows@inriwidowsfoundation.com

http://inriwidowsfoundation.com/about.htm

The Foundation took off as the welfare services organ of the INRI EVANGELICAL SPIRITUAL CHURCH. It used to be the outlet through which the church reached out to the widows and their children who are members of the church. But today, the activities of the foundation is wider in scope.

As an NGO, it is non-religious, non-tribal, non-ethnic, non-cultural, non-profit making and a non-political organization. There are no discriminations toward anyone in the execution of programmes.

The foundation has over 250,000 widows registered with it. It has registered widows in the Republic of Benin (15,000), and Togo (10,000). IWF was able to touch the lives of these people by way of Presentation of Working Tools, Payment of Medical Bills, School Fees and House Rents. In these countries, topical issues on the HIV/AIDS Scourge are treated. Seminars, Talkshops, Radio, Television Appearances, Lectures and Workshops for the widows and their children were arranged to broaden their knowledge on income generation, healthcare, shelter related matters, legal aids and social security affairs among others. We also have the Monthly Widows Interactive session - "THE IWF WIDOWS FORUM" where the widows meet to exchange ideas and share experiences. There are programmes for the widows and their children at festive periods - Sallah, Christmas and Easter breaks to collectively share in the joy of the season instead of brooding over the loss of their family heads.

ATTENTION: WOMEN'S UNITED NATIONS REPORT NETWORK (WUNRN)

INRI WIDOWS FOUNDATION is an organisation that caters for the Widows,
Their Children, Vulnerable Children, Orphans, Aged Widows, HBC and
HIV/AIDS Positive Widows, Orphans, Vulnerable Children, HBC and Aged
Widows in Nigeria.

In 2nd of July, 2005 we organised a programme tagged "SEMINAR /
FUNDRAISING FOR HIV/AIDS WIDOWS, THEIR CHILDREN, ORPHANS,VULNERABLE
CHILDREN, HBC AND AGED WIDOWS" But unfortunately for us we televise it
and those of the Widows were sent out of their houses by their landlords
thus, this has been a burden on our organisation.

In view of this development, The Organisation has been meeting
Philantropist, Individuals, Organisations to support us.   We are
fortunate that a Traditional Leader gives us 1 Acres of land free to build
an Estate for these rejected and dejected Widows, Orphans, Aged Widows,
HBC,Vulnerable Children that are HIV/AIDS Positive. That is why we are
reaching a consensor in our organisation to build a MINI ESTATE for them.

We hereby write to your organisation to support us to assist these HIV
Positive Widows, Aged Widows, Orphans, HBC and Vulnerable Children who are
HIV Positive. We shall appreciate if you can give us this support so as
not to allow these widows to spread this perdemic disease.

Hope to hear a positive response from you.  You can check our website
